In this project concrete took the clientʼs statement
ʻitʼs all right to change everything; all I need is a
chest of drawersʼ as a starting point. After all, the
only way to organise a pharmacy is by means of
drawers to store medications. In addition to
conventional medicine, De Lairesse Pharmacy has
one of the largest offers of alternative medication in

the Netherlands. Within the pharmacy, customers
are surrounded by drawers filled with both synthetic
and natural medicine. This generates confidence
and a sense of mental and physical well-being.
As a literal translation of the clientʼs vision, the
interior of the pharmacy uses a clear mix of
materials.
