The overall design concept is to place an urban
interior in more traditional and rural surroundings.
concrete created a ‘grand café’ with a bar-like
atmosphere. The goal was to create two segments
within a uniform setting. We found the solution in the
use of materials, with one type of flooring and a ceiling
of light shades, which connects the bar with the
restaurant area. The bar and restaurant vary in furniture
and have different table settings with round tables in the
bar and rectangular in the restaurant. The bar is at the
heart of the restaurant. Additionally we connected
the restaurant with the kitchen; not constructively,
but by means of a 14 meter long photo print, which
reflects the craftsmanship, quality and traditions of Loetje.
