concrete was asked to redesign the restaurant
formerly known as Onassis. The restaurant is part of
a family of two other restaurants; delicatessen
restaurant “envy” and wine bar “vyne”. The newest
member is a fish restaurant called “nevy”. In the
design, concrete created tranquillity by eliminating all
unnecessary elements. The design concept is to

create a space that is reminiscent of an old market
hall using marble as a logical prime material.
The restaurant consists of two parts, a restaurant
and a raw bar. To create visual separation between the
two, the areas were defined in black and white. The
white part has a black ceiling and floor, while the opposite
occurs in the black area with a white floor and ceiling.
