citizenM Boston Back Bay stands as an architectural landmark, bridging urban infrastructure and modern hospitality. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, the hotel spans directly over the Massachusetts Turnpike, transforming one of the nation’s busiest highways into a vibrant structural hub. As a key element of the Parcel 12 mixed-use development, the property establishes an immediate visual presence from the moment guests approach along Newbury Street.

The interior design is themed around connectivity and the intersection of pathways: this theme is reflected in the artworks and styling.
The lobby's focal point is the elevator core, wrapped in distinctive black plywood cabinets filled with inspirational art. This central feature, along with the adjacent bar and bakery, opens up to the second floor terrace, creating a spacious and inviting area that offers ample daylight and views.
Embracing local influence, the hotel's interiors will showcase an array of contemporary artwork and found objects by Boston-based artists, establishing the hotel as the neighborhood's new social hub.

Level 3 houses a well-equipped gym with panoramic views of Newbury Street, while the ultimate citizen experience awaits on Level 14: a rooftop bar and terrace operated by Bubble Bath, a playful champagne and wine bar by Tiffani Faison, offering breathtaking views of the Boston skyline.
