mama makan identity

Inspired by the Indonesian culture and traditions, we created an abstract logo which refers to batik patterns: a rich, millennia-old aspect of Indonesian culture. All the Mama Makan letters of the logo are combined to create an abstract iconography which is also used as a pattern. The name 'Mama Makan' translates to 'mother of food', which embodies the warm spirit of coming together with family and friends around a table filled with Indonesian food. The restaurant focuses on traditional Indonesian cuisine and the signature rijsttafel.
